Training Tip of the Week #2
Stay on Course for the 2017 Synchrony Financial Rock 'n' Roll Brooklyn Half Marathon on 10/14
Keep your feet happy!
While cotton is a soft fabric, it holds water, so you are more likely to get blisters wearing cotton socks. Technical running or cycling socks are made mostly of polyester, nylon, rayon, etc. These are cheaper fabrics, but they help move moisture away from your feet.
When you run, wear a sock you like, cushioned or not, high or low; just make sure it’s made of one of these fabrics to ensure your feet stay comfortable through your run.
