Daredevil Drops By Blythedale
Actor Charlie Cox Spends a Super Day with Patients
On November 6th, for the second-straight year, Blythedale Children’s Hospital welcomed Charlie Cox, the man behind the red, horned mask and title character in the Netflix series “Marvel’s Daredevil”. The British-born actor spent a portion of his morning touring the Adolescent, Pediatric and Traumatic Brain Injury Unit in the Hospital, talking with inpatients and families bedside, as well as graciously distributing Daredevil/Punisher reversible beanies, provided by Loot Crate. One pediatric patient was even briefly trained, with parental permission, on how to defend against sibling rivalry.
While unmasked and away from his vigilantism crime-fighting TV persona, Charlie Cox, continued his visit with dozens of students, staff and faculty at Mt. Pleasant-Blythedale U.F.S.D. As part of the hour-long assembly, Mr. Cox answered questions on topics ranging from acting and accents, to teamwork and “the costume”. Following his Q&A, students were able to grab a selfie and autographed beanie with Daredevil himself.
Thanks to Charlie Cox, Marvel and Loot Crate for helping make this all possible.
