Artistry Dance Project Steps Up for Blythedale
Holiday Show to Raise Money for Hospital’s Parent Transportation Program
On Saturday, December 2nd, dancers from Artistry Dance Project (ADP) in Pleasantville will perform their 2nd annual Holiday Show to benefit Blythedale Children’s Hospital. Last year, the show raised $40,000 for the Hospital.
“The passion ADP has for dance and giving back is palpable. We’re so grateful that Blythedale is once again the beneficiary of its Holiday Show,” said Jane MacDonald, Blythedale's Chief Development Officer. “It is with the support of businesses and organizations like theirs that Blythedale continues to provide exceptional care for medically complex children.”
This year, ADP has its eyes set on raising even more for the Hospital’s Parent Transportation Program. This unique program provides free transportation to and from Blythedale so that family members can be actively involved in their child’s care.
“We are beyond grateful that our fundraiser and benefit show proceeds will help aid Blythedale's Parent Transportation Program,” said ADP company co-director Kristina Leitenberger about her company’s partnership with Blythedale. “Having parents and loved ones present for support and encouragement is so incredibly vital for all children, particularly those children at Blythedale. Knowing our efforts can help alleviate some of the transportation burden for parents brings the entire Artistry Dance Project community so much warmth and joy.”
ADP took its fundraising efforts to the next level by filming a video at Blythedale in late October to share with friends, family and members of the community. The video has been viewed over 7,100 times on Facebook and over $21,500 in donations has been raised so far.
